Fall-and-Soon-To-Be-Winter Greetings from Colorado.
I hope this finds you enjoying crisp autumn air, and red, yellow, gold and green images all around. I have enjoyed watching the trees slowly undress, baring their limbs as the wind swirls their leaves in circular dances.
As the leaves fall, one by one, I am gently reminded to "let go, let go, let go" as well... and to welcome and trust change -- in whatever form it presents itself -- whether it be a change of seasons or changes in daily life ... I can let go and know that even in winter's dark hours there will be beauty to find and many things to be grateful for.
It is Thanksgiving week here in the U.S. A time of gratitude, and also a time of change as we embark upon our long holiday season. So since the next ezine will be out in late January, let me say, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, and greetings to the Winter Solstice.
Here is a favorite quote on Gratitude, from Melody Beattie, that I like to focus on throughout the holidays. Maybe you will enjoy it as well.
Gratitude
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance,
chaos to order,
confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast,
a house into a home,
a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past,
brings peace for today,
and creates a vision for tomorrow.
